Maggie is a communications strategist, writer, and filmmaker who has traveled to all seven continents to understand climate change, conservation, and how both impact people.

Her professional experience spans the U.S. Senate, White House Council on Environmental Quality, Environmental Investigation Agency, Marine Stewardship Council, and most recently, the Center for Progressive Reform. Her work has been featured by the Huffington Post, National Press Club, and DC Environmental Film Festival, among others. She currently serves on the Board of Directors to Birdability, co-hosts a wildlife podcast with Defenders' own Ashley Holmes called The Watering Hole, and leads an annual weeklong seabird conservation summer camp in Maine with the Audubon Society. Maggie holds a B.S. from Seton Hall University in diplomacy and international relations and an M.P.A. from Columbia University in environmental science and policy.

Maggie lives in Northern Virginia with her dog, Argos, and can often be found playing soccer or planning her next adventure.
