Center for Conservation Innovation

As the Conservation GIS Analyst, Becca provides mapping and geospatial analysis services throughout Defenders to support conservation of wildlife across North America.

Before joining Defenders, Becca worked as a wildlife biologist with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife where she focused on habitat mapping of state listed species and minimizing future development impacts on Significant Wildlife Habitats and state Endangered, Threatened and Special Concern species throughout the state of Maine. Becca’s background ranges from social behavior research of blue monkeys in Kenya, to amphibian presence in high altitude vernal pools. She has worked on a variety of research projects but has a soft spot for turtles due to her work with population dynamics of diamondback terrapins in Cape Cod and Blanding’s turtles in New Hampshire.
