Funds will support Wildlife Volunteer Corps, Wild-child and Enviro-Hikes

Defenders of Wildlife has announced it was named a recipient of Nature’s Path Organic Foods’ 2010 EnviroKidz Giving Back Award.  The Giving Back Program donates money to non-profit organizations, such as Defenders of Wildlife, that support endangered species, habitat conservation and environmental education for kids.

“We were thrilled to be recognized with the 2010 EnviroKidz Giving Back Award from Nature’s Path. The funding will allow us to get young people outdoors connecting with nature through hands on activities that show we can all make a difference,” said Rodger Schlickeisen of Defenders. "We so appreciate the award and the loyal Nature’s Path customers who made it possible."

Defenders is launching a three pronged campaign to get the young outdoors to connect with nature; to create awareness to threats to their very environment; and to provide hands on activities to help endangered plants and animals survive and thrive in our changing world.

“It means so much to us to be able to support organizations like Defenders of Wildlife that are actively working to preserve the environment,” said Arran Stephens, President and Founder of Nature’s Path Organic Foods.  “The incredible customers who support our EnviroKidz line made it possible, and we are extremely grateful to them.”
