After shootings in the Atlanta area this week left eight people dead—six of whom were women of Asian descent—people nationwide are sharing their support of solidarity with AAPI communities, including Defenders of Wildlife.

President and CEO Jamie Rappaport Clark released the following statement today:

“The shootings in the Atlanta area this week are the latest disturbing examples of violence and hate directed at communities of color. We are in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander community and mourn for the lives lost in this vicious attack.”
